Terms

The deal, in writing.

Excluding VAT at 20%. Every plan includes the website build, hosting, SSL, backups and the workspace behind it. Prices on this page are generated from the same file the pricing page and the invoice use, so they cannot drift apart.

1 · The price

One printed price. One invoice.

There is one published price per plan, and that is the price you are invoiced. We don't discount, and we don't discount for a longer commitment, a bigger project or a competitor's quote. The price list has one column.

What the call decides is scope: which pages, which fields your CRM needs, how your enquiries and expense categories map onto the platform. If what you need doesn't fit a plan, we say so rather than quoting something different for the same page. If it fits a bigger plan, we tell you which, and what it costs.

Why this is a term, not a slogan. A discount on one client means every later client has to subsidise the shortfall, or the support gets thinner. Fixed prices are what pay for the support hours you're promised.
2 · The term

Twelve months, paid annually.

Every plan is a 12-month term paid in advance. There is no monthly option, and that is deliberate: the website build is included, and it is paid back across the term. Monthly billing would mean the build is never recovered if you leave in month three, which is exactly when it hasn't been.

We don't raise the price at renewal without written notice at least 60 days before your term ends. If we do raise it, the increase applies at renewal, never mid-term.

3 · Changing plan

Upgrade when you need to. Downgrade at renewal.

Upgrades take effect immediately: we credit the unused part of your current term pro rata and start a new 12-month term at the new price. Downgrades take effect at renewal, because the plan you're on is what the year was priced for.

Adding a page, rewriting copy or changing your opening hours is not a plan change. It's included in the support hours. Adding a capability is a plan change, at the published price of the plan that includes it.

4 · Support and the retainer

Hours are included. Hours above them are agreed first.

Each plan includes a support allowance, shown in the table above. Support means fixes, small edits and questions, not new projects. Anything above the allowance is quoted and agreed before it is worked; you will never find surprise hours on an invoice.

House's content retainer is capped at 6 hours a month, in writing. It covers content and social production and paid media management. Unused hours do not roll over, and hours beyond the cap are quoted before they're worked.

5 · Your data

Yours. Exportable. Deletable.

Your contacts, invoices, expenses and site content are your records, not ours. You can ask for a full export at any time and get it in a format that opens without us. CSV and PDF, with the invoices and the customer records intact.

If you leave, we hand over the export within 30 days and delete our working copy within 90, unless the law requires us to keep financial records longer. We never sell data, and we don't use your customer records to market to your customers.

6 · Leaving

No lock-in past the term.

You can leave at the end of any term. We'll remind you 30 days before it renews; if you do nothing it renews for another 12 months, because the platform keeps running your site. If you want to stop, tell us before the renewal date and the site goes read-only at the end of the term, with the export in your hands.

We don't hold your domain hostage: it's registered in your name, and the DNS can be pointed wherever you like.

7 · What we don't do

The honest limits.

  • We don't file your accounts or act as your accountant. The books give you control; your accountant still signs.
  • We don't do bespoke design built from nothing. Every site is on the platform template, configured for you.
  • We don't offer monthly plans, discounts, or a lower price for cash.
  • We don't promise page-one rankings, follower counts or a revenue multiple.
  • We don't take on work we can't support. If the fit is wrong, we say so on the call.
Taking a plan is not signing this page. It's a summary of the terms that go into your contract. The contract repeats these figures; if the two ever disagree, the contract wins and we fix this page.
9 · Paying

PayPal, or a bank transfer

One payment a year, in advance, with VAT added at 20%. Card details never touch this website: PayPal takes them, or you pay the invoice by transfer.

What happens when you pay

You choose a plan and pay the annual price plus VAT. PayPal processes the payment and emails you a receipt. We check it against PayPal, then issue your VAT invoice from our books within one working day, at the same figures you saw at checkout.

Your term starts on the agreed start date, not on the day you paid. If we cannot start when we said, we say so before you pay.

If a payment fails or is reversed

A plan only starts once the money has cleared. If a payment is declined, reversed or charged back, we pause the build or the workspace until it is settled, and we tell you rather than quietly suspending anything.

Changing your mind

Tell us within 14 days of paying, and before the build has started, and we refund the payment in full. Once the build has started the annual term applies, because the work is already underway and the hours are committed.

Business contract, not a consumer purchase

These plans are sold to businesses. The consumer distance-selling cancellation right does not apply, which is why the 14 day promise above is written here rather than left to statute. If you are buying as an individual for personal use, tell us before you pay and we will say whether we can serve you at all.

Paying by transfer

Prefer a transfer, or need a purchase order? Ask for the invoice and pay the bank details on it, quoting the invoice number. Most of our annual invoices are paid this way and it costs neither side a processing fee.

One honest note. Card and PayPal payments are taken by PayPal on this page. We see the amount and the payer's email, never your card details. If PayPal cannot complete a payment, nothing is charged and the invoice route is still there.
8 · Add-on apps

Apps that aren't in the platform

The website build is included. A new app is a project with a permanent support cost, so it is priced as a build fee plus an annual uplift, in published bands.

The bands

chosen on the call
Band Build, once Added per year Support added
Small extension
Extend something that already exists: an extra tab, a review request, a mailing-list sync.
£900 £600 0.75 h/mo
New app, configured
A working app from the catalogue, configured around your business: bookings, a client portal, job scheduling.
£1,800 £1,200 1.5 h/mo
New module, built once
Something the catalogue doesn't have yet. Built as a module, then configured for you and anyone after you.
£4,200 £2,400 3 h/mo

Four add-on apps per client, maximum. Each one is a surface that keeps costing money to support, so the cap is what keeps the support promise real. You can swap one out to add another: the cap is on active apps, not on the total you have ever had.

What the fee buys

The build fee pays for the work once: the brief, acceptance criteria, the app configured against your data, training and handover. The annual uplift pays for the support, hosting and updates the app needs for as long as you run it, and it never includes bespoke design or third-party systems that have no API.

The brief is the boundary

Every add-on starts with a written brief and acceptance criteria: what it does, what it does not do, and what "done" means. Work outside that brief is a change request, quoted before it is worked and paid for from the support allowance. A band is a scope, not an opening offer.

Built once, configured after

A module we build for you joins the catalogue and is configured for the next client. That is why the middle band is priced the way it is. It also means we may ask to build something in a reusable way rather than the quickest way, and that is a term of the work, not a preference.

House's two integrations

House includes two custom integrations, capped at eight hours each. Anything beyond that is an add-on app at the band prices above. The cap exists because "custom integrations" with no number is an unlimited promise inside a fixed fee, and unlimited promises get paid for by somebody else's support hours.

Leaving with an app

The app is built against your data and your workspace. If you leave at the end of a term, the export includes its records, and its annual uplift stops with the plan. The build fee is not refundable, because the work was done once and you have it.

Questions the page doesn't answer?

Ask, and you'll get a straight answer, including when it's "we're the wrong supplier for that".
